Participating In A Adobe Creative Jam
A couple weeks ago my friend Rachel and I participated in Adobe’s Creative Jam here in Chicago. For those that are unfamiliar with Creative Jams, they are an event series that combine creative talks by local professionals with a design competition. This particular Creative Jam was focused on UX Design. We were given the theme "Nudge" and had 3 hours to complete a functional prototype only using Adobe XD.
Both Rachel and I come from product design backgrounds but none of us had ever participated in a 3 hour sprint. But we were up for the challenge and knew it would be fun to collaborate with each other. We came up with a lot of ideas, used a ton of post it notes, drew out tons of user flows and wireframes. Ultimately, we created Constellation and tied for second place in the competition. Overall it was a ton of fun and it was great to create something in 3 hours. On another blog post I will share our process and how we got to the end result. But until then here are some screens we created for the app and photos of the event. You can also visit the Adobe Creative Jam Behance for more.
Constellation: WINNER | TIE FOR PEOPLE'S CHOICE SECOND PLACE
Constellation is an app that helps users try new experiences by bringing an object or expertise to the event. This helps them feel connected to others and nudges them towards activities they otherwise wouldn’t do by themselves.
